Is The Triangle Neutralized By Zone Defense?

I'm a big Knick fan but I been wondering whether the Triangle offense can be as effective against a league where people play zone. Everyone knows that the Triangle is about constant movement and passing it to the open man. It seems to me that one of the reasons why the Triangle worked during Phil's first 9 championships is that playing man to man made it easier for players to outrun their defenders and get open. It seems to me that unless your playing variations of the Triangle that sets picks, its not gonna be as easy to find an open man when defenders are guarding locations on the court rather than individual players. I know Phil won a chip back in on 09, 10 but I often hear that the Lakers weren't running as much Triangle during those championships. Thoughts?

Phil tended to switch it up with the Lakers, especially when it was just Kobe. It's not gonna be 100% triangle all of the time, elements of it will be used and some triangle sets will be run but depending on the situation you'll see some iso's or pick and roll here and there. But then again, if Fish isn't a figurehead and plans on putting his touch on this team then it's no telling how this will go.

Just don't expect all triangle shyt right away, it's going to take the team time to learn the shyt anyway so you have to use other options to generate points.

It's where those guys got the ball, giving them the options to pass the ball in case they got doubled.

I think Melo and Amare would be ideal players who can thrive under the offense. Early's game seems to be suited for it to I just wonder how effective it could be in this day and age.
