No, he is one of the biggest reason our pitchers were hot earlier like Maholm.
Don't get me wrong, Simmons is incredible and he certainly passes any eye test, I'd just like to see the metrics stay where they are for longer
I mean, before Simmons came up, Ryan was CLEARLY the best defensive SS. Though the fact that Simmons isn't benched twice a week for his bat like Ryan probably gives him the edge anyway

I get what you are saying. Just reading some of those stats in that article was just mind blowing to me though. I mean, I watch him every night and see that he makes plays, but I didn't know his advanced numbers were so good.

Simmons bat is kinda
He really didn't pick up from WBC and Heyward being out threat has hurt quite few of our hitters including Justin. With that said, this thread is about the best Defensive SS, not the best overall SS which is Tulo to me.
