Is there a double standard when it comes to mocking ‘prominent’ black features?

Jay-Z gets made fun of constantly for his large lips and nose.

Flava Flav gets mocked for his dark skin and being considered unattractive.

Craig Mack too for his nose, lips and skin.

they’re mocked but never is it claimed it’s because of self hatred

Yet, when Tarana Burke gets mocked for looking like KRS one and just being overall unattractive, accusations of self hate gets thrown around.

Same for any other black women if she happens to be dark skinned and not seen as pretty. As if it’s impossible for one to be unattractive regardless of their skin tone. The two can be mutually was exclusive.

Make it make sense please.:jbhmm:

I don’t recall any of those men being made fun of for their skin color.

and how do you know that no one accuses the people making fun of them of having self-hatred?

Yes, there is a double standard. Having prominent black features is made fun of by other black people, and caricaturized by racist whites.

Black people and racist whites play for the same team in regards to degrading black people.

Let's never forget who made "Crispy" a popular term in recent years. ....
