I feel this comes into play primarily on subjects of race. Like I`m seeing people with this SAE on some "well WE was a people need to do better and understand the N word his become part of our culture, so we can't get mad when other people say it, because we say it." Or when a Black person is killed by a cop folks are on that "Well we as blacks have to carry ourselves better" or "We mad when cops kill blacks but aren't mad when blacks kill blacks."

I`m like :why:. I`m at a point where I dont even enjoy about talking about anything that is not economics, sports, or tech with other people. I can accept someone saying "Bro I prefer Windows over Mac" as it is ultimately a preference thing. But the moment I hear someone say stuff like the stuff mentioned in the first paragraph I literally just end the convo or walk away.

Like there was a scene in Money and Violence when Raff is talking about Eric Garner and is on some "Man how can we expect anyone to treat us with respect when we don't respect ourselves"
:what:

Like do people really think that little of themselves that they justify racism as being their own fault? Like maybe I`m an A-Hole but I cannot accept the opinion of those type of people. Like on FB I will see non blacks go on rants about Michelle Obama making the white house a welfare house or all this other crap, and I don't even follow these people but I question my followers who are friends with these types. I guess this is the double edge sword of freedom of speech. I simply refuse to talk about Race with anyone anymore besides with my girl and maybe on here.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion and you might not always agree with them on every subject. Like you said, it's best to ignore or change the subject. Worry about yourself and not what they're saying and you'll be much happier.

I think it boils down to some intellectual arrogance too though. For example often times people will say some of this stuff not from research but they are just saying stuff they heard others say or on tv, so its like you know you can debunk them, but at the end of the day is it even worth it? Like you can go into a church and tell everyone how God isn't bad, but Christianity was used as a tool to oppress, and provide factual evidence and they will still look at you side ways. The concept of Systematic White Supremacy is truly a religion, because it is one of those things where no matter how much factual evidence you have to prove the evils of it, people will continue to have faith in it and dismiss your findings.
