I been selling on and off for years on eBay.. by far the worst customers in the entire world, and this is coming from someone whose worked at AT&T and Verizon corporate retail stores..

You can list something with CLEAR instructions and people will just blindly buy the shyt and then act like its your fault when shyt goes according to plan :dead:

*sells pre orders for a pair of shoes coming out June 1st*
*says in listing that shoes will be shipped a few days after June 1st*
*gets messages on May 27th "where are my shoes?!?!?"* :wtf:

Even if you message them and tell them everything is going to be ok you will be getting it in a few days they still open disputes :snoop:

eBay has BEEN out of control. They are lucky they basically have a monopoly when it comes to online auctions. I wish Craigslist would step up in that area, but probably a little too late considering how the site is structured...it will have to be a complete gut and rebuild.

Buyer feedback is still there. My account has both buyer and seller feedback

I think he means leaving negative feedback on buyers pages. Now you can either report buyer or leave positive feedback. I know because I sold a 12 month live gold card and the dude messaged me asking me to email the code I check paypal and this nikka opened a report the day after to get a refund. :please: He did it to another seller the same day and that seller left positive feedback saying dude tried to scam him. Lucky I hadn't sent that shyt yet :whew:.

He may have meant the ability to leave a buyer negative feedback. All you can do is leave them fakkits positives.

Never really noticed cause Ive never really had any bad buyers so I just give them the positive, right a generic comment and k.i.m.

Nah it wouldnt be craigslist, the owner is content with what he has going right now. It's why the site is as basic as it is now.

I think it's too late to try and come up with a site just like eBay to challenge it. The biggest competitors imo would have to come from a bunch of niche sites or something.

When I first started Id have to wait a week. Then my money started coming in instantly after I had a couple successful problem free sales. Then I caught a case, which I resolved but after that back to them holding my money :bryan:

somebody like google should try it. They got the deep enough pockets and theyve been jumpin in everything else (social network, isp, chromebook) they might as well start a marketplace.

Doesn't Amazon do auctions too. I never tried it but I used to hear about former eBay sellers that said it was a good alternative.

^ I just avoid shipping outside of the continental U.S. altogether :manny:, I always ship flat rate USPS & there's never a question of shipping pricing, and they always give good feedback b/c it ships fast.

you need like 10 or so sales on an account, then you get paid as soon as they pay. they've definitely skewed the eBay service in the buyers favor.

I sell something ~ every 2 weeks or so, and even though there's a lot of bullshyt, I still put up with it because there's such a huge pool of potential buyers. sucks but :manny:

also, you can always bytch if you're a buyer to eBay and get negative feedbacks etc. removed. eBay sellers essentially pay a subscription fee every month in the form of the fees eBay charges for item sales, shipping sales, listing fees, and paypal transfer fees. if you sell a large volume of stuff, they'll bend your way if you provide them with enough $ every month.
