Is there a scientific reason why some men never grow facial hair?

I'm assuming it has something to do with lack of testosterone but could any scientific literate folks let us know if there is a gene that enables it to grow that some people lack?






I was baby faced at 16 yrs old while some of my friends had full Rick Ross beards at that age. While I didn't grow my first Rick Ross till I was 18.


I know some n1ggas in their 30s and 40s who never even grown sh1t tho.

Hair growth and pattern, regardless of location, is mostly genetic. Same reason why you have the shape of ears or nose you have.

i can grow a weak mustache and slight hair on my cheeks/chin but nothing connects. basically besides a weak mustache, i can't grow hair around the mouth area. can't do a goatee. can't grow a respectable beard and when i've tried to let it grow it just made me look like a teen trying to grow a beard to look more mature. So I just shave it clean but i leave the mustache trimmed super low.

I admit it kinda bothers me a little on the inside, lol such is life i guess
