Is there a way to disable the Essential Threads/Currently Airing side bars?

The Essential Thread and Currently Airing side bars are messing up the flow and look of the boards, especially the Arcadium and The Film Room. Every thread is truncated now making them hard to read and i never look at those side bars. Is there an option to disable it?

Nah, there's no way to disable it. Screenshot how it looks for me.
