Shorty lost control of her party after the vote of no confidence. Needed the Democratic Unionist Party in Northern Ireland to back her up afterwards. She repays them by getting the shyttiest deal possible from the EU that would either leave Ireland and Northern Ireland with hard borders, which would be horrible for them or allow the rest of the UK to leave while Northern Ireland still has to be under the EU's control to prevent the hard border I thought that shyt was hilarious when I read it.

i think that's also a product of how the two countries select their leaders. trump has to develop a base and a following while campaigning for the presidency in the first place. may's party just needs to win.

Funny enough I actually think she’s getting lowkey W’s. She was for remaining originally which is where a good deal of the animosity comes from. Brexiteers don’t believe she’s really down for the cause. Meanwhile, a terrible deal that no one wants is in place and a second vote might end up happening. I get the feeling she don’t mind the fukkery since she wasn’t for it to begin with.

The fact that she was a remainer kinda works in her favor given how much of a shytshow the Brexiteers side left the nation. The Brexiteers don't look any more competent than her and overestimated their negotiating position. I saw Boris Johnson's 6 point plan which looked a lot like a wish list and included a Canada style agreement adding to the Norway model that others discussed. Everyone seems to think they could do a better deal but the EU appears to rebuff all of them by maintaining tough negotiating positions
