outside of the US that you would place in the top 20 of all times?

I find it amazing that although rap has been global for decades, whenever you hear talks of the best not ONE person outside the US is mentioned.

Wyclef would not be top 20, but perhaps a top 20 rapper/singer/song-writer/producer

top 20 is too narrow, hell more than half of the usual top 20 is from not only one country, not only one region, not only one state but one city.

Well, considering that many rappers in their respecting non-english speaking countries have classic albums, I don't see how you US folks can consider any non-english speaking rapper in any top ranking.

I could hook with many french/belgian albums that are considered classics in France but it would be pointless because to understand the content/wordplays/references, you need to speak the language and know the culture, which won't be the case most of the times...

No idea how this guy is so good when English isn't even his first language. Obviously not too familiar with his entire discography but his skill is undeniable.
