17thsoulja4We are all France. We are all Belgium. We are never Nigeria. Never Palestine or Lebanon. Ivory Coast or Burkina Faso.
I first thought it was insensitive, but when I think about how Social Media reacted to the Paris attacks, David Bowie, or any celebrity and was like :jbhmm:
There's so much stuff done on the Internet for the sole purpose of likes, and cool points I really couldn't argue with it.

True. I had a friend change from the French to the Nigerian flag after the Paris massacre. At first it was profound but you know they did that to make a point to western whites , not because they really care

This is so true

But at the same time the post in the op is true there is an obvious bias when it comes to sympathy after these tragedies

I almost feel like at the end of the day, nobody gives a shyt besides the people who were actually related to the victims of tragedies.
The western whites do it for likes and false feelings of humility, and black people create memes like this out of spite.

Depending on the source of said content you can usually determine who's actually being critical of the neglect of coverage of atrocities committed in certain countries and who's trying to play the moral crusade and swallow up attention for monetary purposes.

I follow the philosophy that all of these atrocities committed need to be treated as gracefully with some aspect of sincerity.

Really sick and tired of this bullshyt. Western media cares more about what happens in the West, HOW SHOCKING. You guys think people in Namibia care about bombings in Turkey, or that people in Jordan care about Ivory Coast? Half of y'all prob had no idea were Grand-Bassam was before the shootings there. Were was the outrage when shyt was going on in my country, Central African Republic?

Nah most y'all only care about "other tragedies" when you can use them to denounce western-centrism. Were are all your threads about the bombings in Pakistan, Iraq, Syria? Where the solidarity then? Brehs be like "I don't care, it doesn't affect Black people" then turn around and wanna act holier-than-thou like "You are Brussels, but were you Gaza?" FOH :camby:

Stop bytching for what you feel is lack of attention from others, just do you. I have tons of FB contacts who were on the same bs "Bu bu bu what about x or y" after Paris, next thing you know when shyt in Turkey they didn't say shyt either. :camby:Same were talking "Bu bu bu what about Boko Haram" then there was a gathering against BH here in Paris and I put the info on my FB, guess how many militants showed up? NONE. :pacspit:
