I don't get it. Tenants can assign their "right to refusal" without the assignee being on the hook for the lease?
Cause if he were on the hook for the rent on 300 apartments as a 21 year old, the owner could just wait out his ass out a few months and then throw him out when he fails to make payment instead of giving him $19K an apartment.
Also, someone offering me a thousand for anything out the blue would immediately trigger me to do research so I'm not getting a raw deal. But then again this was Florida...
