Is it true that any person who takes a picture is in ownership of that picture?
And if it is used without permission or maliciously, that the person who exploited that picture that they didn't take can allow the picture taker to get them in trouble legally? :jbhmm:

Case in point, INSTAGRAM.
If your picture is being used without your permission, isn't it criminal and can be stopped?

not sure about the first part.... but If you read the TOS for instagram, any picture you upload is property of instagram and they can use it however they like (even profit from it).

So say the picture was in your possession and was taken from you. You never gave them permission to use it.

What then? :jbhmm:

u omit that right when u make an acct

An account that uploaded the picture? But the uploaded site didn't abuse the picture

It was shown to someone and they physically took it into their own possession and uploaded it
then put it in a folder and distributed it so others could upload it and exploit it.
I have proof of those who did it

ye I believe that can be classified as theft as long as you can prove the ORIGINAL file belongs to you which isn't to hard to do.

I'm a law student though I'm not an expert on this topic or anything.

Can you be a bit more specific about what you're asking?

It's about a picture being shown to ONE person
who then secretly uploaded the picture to put it in a folder
to then give out the picture which then got into others hands
which then uploaded it and used it as slander and abuse on social media in public view with their IP address involved
