The US as a whole is in a weird phase right now.

-Adults want to be kids
-Men want to be women and vise versa
-Black unity is dead
-Criminals and whores have become idols
-Hard work doesnt get you as far as it used to
-Can’t trust institutions vital to our economy
-Women want to be manly, but don’t want the hardship that comes with it
-Kids are disrespectful and lazy
-People get married out of vanity and aren‘t committed
-Etc.

The first couple

If she had problems with the vows as they were normally given, she and the groom should have written up their own vows to be said to each other in their place. Them discussing the vows and her turning around and hesitating to repeat them, is a red flag. Her lying compounds it.

The groom is not free of any culpability either. I am pretty sure these are not the only red flags he has seen and chosen to ignore.

The second couple

I am not a member of their culture, so I have no clue what is considered normal for their wedding vows. So, I can't judge theirs enlight of my ignorance of their matrimony cultural norms. All I can say is it sounded beautiful to me, though I would like to see what his vows are that compliments hers.

American women get a bad rep because social media highlights and propagates this type of propaganda against them.

No one here has EVER attended a wedding where something like the OP's video happened, and, on the off-chance that there is someone who has, their experience is an outlier.
