This is true. That particular scene was supposed to be awkward. The rest of the games voice acting is fine. Nothing award winning but it isn't trash either. I give the worst voice acting to resident evil 1. "Barry.....where's....Barry?"

This. Even Yuna says "You should probably stop laughing..." meaning they knew full and well how ridiculous they (meaning either the characters or the VA Director, take your pick) sounded.

I'm sure it sounded just as ridiculous in the Japanese version.
