its because nowadays the less mysterious you are to a woman the more you become

Girls don't actually like romantic guys. Unless you beat her like 6 days of the week, then you're romantic for one.

Hmm.....
Texting does seem to be a variable, constant communication could be dulling the senses from overstimulation. A woman may very well "play out" interacting with her in this way, because to her, most suitors she sees as unworthy try a similar approach, to herself.
