Dio's hate is wild because he literally had no reason to hate the Joestars. None. He took one look at Jonathan and was like, "nikka, youse a bytch" and set about terrorizing this man and his offspring for years.

Dio's hate was so absolute, Jotaro sent people to look for Giorno just off the strength of his pops being an a$$hole.

Voldemort didn't go after the Longbottoms he already got fukked into being incorporeal after assassinating the Potters. It was a few Death Eaters that decided to retaliate and tortured the Longbottoms to find out what happened to Voldemort.

So if he personally went after the Longbottoms, shyt would have been mad different (possible Voldemort win) and Snape bytch ass would have stayed with the Death Eaters.
