this is the real war going on in america, but since our inception as a country it's been about race, which is completely unique because all other countries deal with "class" issues. Rich folks would much rather it be that way because it distracts us from the fact we're getting BUTT fukkED by the wealthy

Yeah I'm sure my dude @kp404 can elaborate a little better on this than I can, but the mechanism of keeping poor whites feeling empowered over black, through the notion of supremacy, limited the potential for the poor,(who outnumber the rich), from staging an uprising against the rich and the power structure in play.


The notion of if I work hard, I too, can one day own slaves, or be in powerful position, where I rise above the ranks and others.

The religious right really captured the minds of poor white people, one thing I noticed about white trash (half my family is white trash) is that they are all extremely religious, evangelical in fact, and they're ALL republicans.
