Made my laptop nearly unusable
Probably running on an old mechanical hard drive. That shyt had a laptop of mine see the usage spike up to 100% CONSTANT.
It was awful, but I cloned the drive to an SSD and it's been running great.
Oh and as far as the upgrades are concerned, I think Microsoft is going to cave and just allow people to upgrade for free. They want that store to get as much potential users as possible. I would think that is more important than selling licenses if you are thinking long term.
Depends on your personal machine, mine is a good but older laptop so I just turned off a bunch of the new gimmicky features and the system is flying now.
Honestly the OS can be customized to your liking and it's just as convenient as Windows 7 (my previous favorite OS from Windows.)
This. If you don't have an SSD, don't fukk with windows 10. It will run slower than molasses moving uphill in winter, on crutches.
If you have the mech HDD please upgrade to Windows 10
Why I'm cool with my PC not being connected to the 'net 24/7Microsoft just keep spamming me with upgrade notifications (on 8.1)and have even got some sly upgrade countdown timer that I constantly have to monitor
