Let's get it out of the pandemic era first before we start to dig the grave.
It seemed like it was dying in the early/mid 90s as well.
My only gripe is how serious everything went. Doink vs IRS Man had its charm. Hogan going heel. DX and Rock era had their levels of ridiculousness. shyt just kinda flattened out at some point and everything feels more serious than it needs to be.
No. What were going through now is how the majority of wrestling has been. People somehow got it in their heads that the boom periods were like the majority of wrestling eras, when the boom periods are small eras. And those eras always had to completely bust and reset things. There's a reason "Attitude Era Syndrome" became a thing. Alot of people started watching during that era and they think it was and should always be like that, when that's not the case.
Nope. Just more options and it doesn’t have the same mainstream appeal that the Attitude Era/Monday Night Wars had. Other than that, wrestling is pretty much what it’s always been.
