But i think so :jbhmm:

Can't think of anybody that's been this "hot" nationwide as an independent artist.

Has his name on a top 40 Billboard single.

Debut album charted in the top 50 (top 10 rap/r&b)

Unquestionably top 3-5 in the streets right now (#1 in some places)

Unless i'm missing somebody...can't think of anybody that's had this type of success, while being fully independent. :jbhmm:

At his peak...he's nowhere near as known and popular on a "mainstream" level as Dolph. And he doesn't have the hits.

EDIT: But i just checked his wikipedia right quick and his albums were charting in single digits on the regular. :ehh:

Practically 99% of his fans are cacs though...that should put a * next to it

If he was there would be a bag big enough to sign him to a major:sas2:

Not everybody's for sale. @ 5:00

And he's not hurting or desperate for money.

He might be laying out a brand new blueprint for independent artists in the modern era to succeed on a mainstream level. And this is him just getting warmed up in my guesstimation. :ehh:

Jim Jones >>>

*Career independent artists

He was on a major via the diplomats before his independent solos, right?

Dolph came up completely and 100% grassroots...no big name features or affiliations on his debut back in '08 which blew him up in Memphis.

That just means he's not the most succesful independent artist 3ver then....if he was labels would have a bag big enough, and he could damn near name his contract....that tells me they not seeing money signs whem they look at Young Dolph, that alone disqualifys you from being the most succesful independent artist in my book.

He aint makin enuff that the majors REALLY want in i would say,if they did, they could afford em.
