I think if Twitter got their mind right, they could make some noise.
YouTube is not that focused on profit. Making profit is for appealing to shareholders. That's not youtubes concern as much as it is twitters.

Do you know how much resources it costs for youtube to operate it's massive platform of features, advertisements, and deals with content creators.
I wouldn't be surprised they're barely breaking even. They're expanding more than they are focusing on profit. This is what Amazon is doing.
