who's more dangerous with the ball in their hands. nash or payton.

in my opinion it is 100% undoubtedly... NASH.

depends on the system nash is in and the rulebook that the refs are working under.

nash only flourished under d'antoni/nelson type systems. and he didn't take off until the rule changes.

Grant hill and low to the ground dribbling and then all of sudden he would just take up

Strong upper body
And when he yammed it on zo :mjlol:

Blow by whoever guarding him then dunk on whoever was at the rim

at best, nash is in that tim hardaway/kevin Johnson realm.

im not even sure that I could put nash over them either.

I was typing up the same ish, and then I saw your post. Nash was a system PG. The definitive proof is that when Terry Porter became the coach of Phoenix, he went right back to his Mavs numbers (14 & 8). A great shooter, yes. A great passer - maybe, but they did play that 7seconds offense. As for making his teammates better - the subject to interpretation. Marions numbers were the same with Kidd, Steph & Nash. And Steph said the Amare was explosive and gonna be an offensive force.

I love open court. I need to catch up for this season. They be going in.

When they did the next 10, Reggie was RIGHT to take himself off. That ninja has no merit. And they ere all taking shots at Bill Walton, not just CWebb. BTW CWebb was a BEAST.

I remember in 3rd grade, my teacher was in love with Grant Hill. She'd talk about him at every turn when sports came up during class :heh:
My pops loved some Grant Hill
I remember he thought he was hot wheels when he copped those 2nd Fila joints he came out with :mjlol:
His ass was right back to nikes the next month:deadmanny:

Well, yes and no. The "who would you pick on a blacktop" was definitely a direct shot at Nash...

But I'm more responding to this site's take on Nash as some kind of gimmick player, when really the league's most successful teams are all now using that style of play.

This whole post is revisionist. Teams were constantly forced to play more athletic lineups against the Suns, that's where the term "going small" came from in the modern lexicon. They weren't trotting out centers, because the suns didn't use one.

And "know how to defend it" -- the way to defend a 3 point offense hasn't changed, there are just more teams doing it.

And on top of that, the point guard crop getting "deeper" really has nothing to do with anything I've posted. He'd still be an elite shooter and distributor... that doesn't change. Nash did plenty of scoring on opposing guards, without "having to get big men switched onto him" - making it seem like it was all mismatches is patently false, and honestly kind of unfair.

fukk, I don't even like Steve Nash like that, don't make me be the guy who has to defend him.

What was your job with the Knicks?

grant hill signed on to fila too late. his sneakers were dope tho, but they were near the end of their relevance. i dont know if its because they fell off or if they were the victim of urban lingo.........remember the Fakkits In L.A. acronym?

but man, after watching unsung, they need to bring back those fila boots that h-town used to rock.
