Odom’s pals in failed intervention over alleged drug use: report

Former NBA star Lamar Odom may not have rebounded as well as we thought.

Odom's family and friends attempted a failed drug intervention after his recent spate of strange behavior left them suspicious that he was using again, TMZ reports.

Sources told the gossip site that the group spotted drug paraphernalia, including crack pipes, strewn across Odom's Calabasas home during the confrontation.

The 36-year-old Queens product was photographed drinking alcohol in a Sherman Oaks bar last month — a source of worry considering that he hasn't fully recovered from his nearly fatal overdose last October.

Odom was found unconscious and bleeding from the nose at the Love Ranch brothel, near Las Vegas, on Oct. 13. Falling into a coma after reportedly using cocaine and herbal Viagra during a four-day binge, there was speculation that he would not survive the ordeal.

He has credited his estranged wife Khloe Kardashian's support and his brother-in-law Kanye West's rapping at his bedside with saving his life.

But a lot has changed since. Kardashian, who married Odom in 2009 and separated from him in 2013, had halted divorce proceedings last fall to help nurse her husband back to health.

After Odom reportedly resumed drinking this spring, however, Kardashian re-started the divorce process.

"It was a challenge for me when I decided to get divorced. At my core, I don't believe in divorce, but I came to a point in my marriage where I had to make the choice to take care of my own mental and emotional well-being in order to protect myself and my happiness," Kardashian wrote in an essay for Lena Dunham's "Lenny Letter" published last month.

"I am at peace with that decision and do feel like I honored my vows to the very end."

TMZ reported that Odoms' friends attempted the recent intervention amid concern that the ex- Laker believes he is impervious to harm after surviving his October health crisis.

Excuse me if i dont sympathize :smugdraper:
I understand any addict will struggle with their habits and all but drug addicts get far more sympathy than they deserve sometimes. We dont feel the same way about fat people that are food addicts. :yeshrug:
But if someone is addicted to heroin/crack all the sudden we wanna hug them and sh!t.

Damn, I hope this man gets things together and moves away from that drug lifestyle.

He's been through some shyt in his life...but that's not an excuse at this point. At some point you have to start making better choices concerning your health and safety and overcome the shytty events of your past through a more postitive outlet.

Hoping for the best for him, and everyone out there battling drug addiction.
