I get Disney plus in a bundle with netflix and prime... might cancel it.. but netflix alone is around the same price so I kept it

It's not like they're adding anything. Kind of a weird business model where you punish the people who decided to patronize your service.

Isn’t this just like standard capitalism/the business model most companies use?

The need for infinite “growth” demands you extract the most from your userbase/existing patrons by offering the minimum in return. “Enshyttification”.

As a result; new accounts generally get better deals to entice them into your ecosystem whereas your long standing userbase eats the cost.
