I have about 20 pairs of pants/jeans, 30 shirts and 10 pairs of shoes. But even that seems like too much. I copped a 2008 Lexus IS250 over the summer. I have a condo that I don’t even live in (I rent it out). I don’t care about material shyt anymore. I earn a little over 100k a year and an additional 30-40k doing taxes. Money doesn’t move me anymore. My girl is frugal as fukk and isn’t into material shyt either.

everything in this country revolves around making money and spending it. That’s not living. But most of my associates don’t clown because they know my pockets are official. It’s like the older you get, your perspective on life changes drastically

I use to have a 4 laptops, a desktop with two 24 in monitors. Now I just have a 2 personal laptops and my work laptop.

75 inch big screen, and now I just have a 4k projector, just so I don't have to look at a big ass TV that I barely watch anymore.

Yes, so everyone should dress like bums because you can’t take clothes with you. I’m not even spending a ridiculous amount on clothes or into the fashion shyt like that. But this is some WOAT logic right here. With this logic, you may as well buy the cheapest possible clothing items for your whole wardrobe. Since they just clothes and you can’t take em with you anyway.

There are many signifiers that convey worth that are not necessarily materialistic in nature.

I’m glad that my circles are not materialistic in that way so there is no pressure on me to have to get the latest gadgets, clothes, or cars.

In my circles, where you live matters more than what you have in your house. If you can afford to live in a prestige neighborhood, the very fact that you live there means you’re doing well, so there’s no need to look to see if you got the latest gadgets. Being in the right neighborhood also means you don’t need a car because of the available amenities and ease of access.

Things like educational background also convey worth. If you have a degree from Dartmouth, no one is expecting you to be standing in line for the newest Jordans. shyt don’t even look right.

If you work for a high pedigree company, people will already assume you getting money so there is not any pressure to flex at Bloomies every Saturday.

If you spend money on the right big things...exceptional education, which leads to an exceptional job, which leads to being able to buy in an exceptional neighborhood, among a host of other things, no one is looking at the smaller stuff, because the bigger stuff matters more. Spend money on the right things and the little things won’t matter.
