AGAIN, i'm not talking about TEAM UP where everyone picks a position and plays that spot vs other guys doing the same. thats a joke too, unless its in the park with my player vs my player. and even then its still a semi joke.
what i'm talking about is playing 1 Human vs 1 Human online. in a 5 vs 5 player match. Specifically MY TEAM.
eVERYONE's squad depending on what round you're in during the playoffs. is filled with 3 pt chuckers. and maybe a big man or two. thats it.
now i understand most people will choose to have their favorite players that they know. Durant, LBJ, curry, etc.
but i mean i dont think everyone in the world will end up choosing identical same teams if you asked them to build a team with 3 superstars from any era.
They are putting Durant at PF to try to throw you off. so to draw a big out and launch 3's. thats fine. but basketball says Durant is super skinny and too weak to guard a true PF on the block. it means KD will kill on the perimeter and get abused on the block. fair is fair. But that never happens in 2k, because no matter how great your post game is. you will blow layup after layup after layup. dudes are shooting 30% from the paint(if you subtract the fast break points). but shooting 50% from the 3pt line. right there alone is a cheese fest.
so people just say the hell with it. let em fly. running 3s with dudes that cant do that. reddikk has to be perfectly straight to hit his 3's. he can fade back. but not to either side while running full speed. i'm seeing no name guys that are not even that good at shooting 3s. launching fast break 3's leaning/fading with a hand up. SPLASH. its ridiculous.
Then defensively most people dont even try to play man to man. they use the computer to do all of the work. they will change on and off the defender to make him bump you to death or make you blow a layup if you're already in the air. that turns into a bogus collision animation that can make your player loose the ball in mid air and just fall on his back for a no call while the ball drops right there for them to pick up. Ridiculous.
most of these dudes are intentionally lagging the games at certain parts to score, and to stop you from scoring when things get to tight.
This one guy i played the other day. barely beats me by 2 points with a lesser team by far. the reason he beat me was cause i couldnt guard any of his perimeter players. even with my superior defensive players. all he was doing was intentionally lagging the game and going side to side with the same crossover move that makes your man frozen. no matter how you play him. it will happen because of the lag.
Funny thing is... i start another game and bam it automatically sets us up for the rematch. i guess we were the only two in the server at the time. So i hear this clown talking in the background. i guess he had a mic. He's like "haa haa rematch and i'm about to kill him again" i guess he's talking to one of his boys. I put my mic in and tell him. you better stick with the lag fest or else. he laughs. I pause the game so to help with the lag. start it up again. the game is running semi smooth. I go up 10 to 2. I'm talking reckless to this clown "i told you..you better lag me out .." to make a long story short dude took his mic out and i didnt hear another word from him. half time score me 35 him 16. He couldnt score, he couldnt stop anything i was doing inside or out. so of course he leaps for the quit. i started laughing and yelling in the mic "i told you
" This is how it always is with most of these dudes. they really think they're balling on this game when its 100% predicated on how bad their lag is to see if what they will do would actually work vs someone who knows how to play basketball. if its a laggy connection on their end. you will have a helluva time trying to win or you will most likely lose.
