Conspiracy theories are created and spread due to a lack of information while confronting uncertainty.
But then no when someone buys into a conspiracy theory no amount of conflicting information will get them to change their mind.
To an anti-vaxxeer, some random person on Facebook rambling about the dangers of vaccines will hold more sway than an epidemiologists explaining the polio epidemic in the USA and how polio was eradicated due to vaccination. And how vaccination is a social good that prevents sickness and death.
Conspiracy theories are ultimately dangerous. We see this with Fox News and right-wing outlets ranting about cultural marxists while promoting racial hatred and crying out Fake News.
No amount expertise, no amount of facts, no amount evidence can convince conspiracy theorists that they are wrong because they aren't trying to be right. They are trying to simplify their world and remove insecurity.
Jewish cultural marxists manipulating the media on the behalf of Jews and Blacks and Bill Gates using vaccines to sterilize humanity is much more easier to understand for these people.
It kind of like how when I was 15 and believed Jay Z was in the Illuminati, Jay Z just being a rapper from Brooklyn that was really good at rapping and business was just beyond my comprehension of the world at that time.
