It really is a shame that Samsung is now going the planned obsolescence route with their phones.

So in exchange for dumping the shytty plasticky, fisher price ass, mcdonald's happy meal toy feeling phones they now went the apple way of planned obsolescence :snoop:

What does a MicroSD card slot cost to these manufacturers per phone? Maybe 25 cents? A couple of more kids they hire at 5 cents per hour can't get this done? HTC and LG might be the last real ones left.

Yeah, I'm bored:russell:

The profits are better on charging exorbitant amounts to double the storage. Samsung wants to be the Apple of the Android world.

Apple is the only company to get away with that because they offer a different product. Samsung has to worry about other manufacturers. I would never get a Samsung phone and can't imagine why anyone else pick a Note 5 or any of their high end offerings over an LG G4 at this point.

Touchwiz is full of gimmicks, none of that shyt is really useful unless you have hours and hours to kill.

the sd card is vital for the phone. I prefer having one. I know the g6 doesn't have one. I might have to go an alternate route if the g7 or g8 fails to have one. Unless the price matches the storage which is doubtful. They replaced the sd slot to put that edge thing but is that even necessary? I got the preview cover on mine and think that works just as well. I'm guessing the edge thing is for basics like time, weather, missed calls? Nothing different anyways.

G4 :blessed:
Leather back :blessed:

Removeable battery and sd slot :banderas:

Never been happier with a phone purchased like I have been with the Goat 4
That's what I am talking about.

You can do so much on these devices and I just hate hearing companies saying they can't do this or can't do that. Nah, this is all about leaving options out and forcing a premium on the consumer. Samsung is dominating the android side of this right now and are comfortable enough to do so. HTC did this and felt the heat immediately, but it will be interesting to see how customers feel about the Note line losing one of it's great features like that.

You are aware that the official stance on SD cards by Google themselves is no right? The other manufacturers force it in over their custom flavors of Android. I don't think stick Android supports SD cards. HTC has flip flopped on them probably only because their phone sales haven't been the best. LG still does them. The Nexus phones don't. Samsung no longer does. It's only a matter of time before they all drop them.

Stock Android does support SD cards.

Battery life? Build quality? And that it's a Samsung device?
