It should be easier to become a lawyer, easier to represent yourself as a civilian, and obvious guilt cases should end quickly. Boom, court reform.

Why do cases where there are video evidence of guilt still take a year + to wrap up? Why is passing the Bar exam and becoming a lawyer such a long ass process? Why can't civilians with obvious evidence of innocence be respected by judges to the point where they don't see self representation as sone type of disrespect?

The answer to the first question is probably because good defense lawyers will keep submitting motions to drag it along while they work on the case.

It’s no excuse why people with public defenders sit in jail for years waiting to go to trial, i guess they try to move shyt along by offering deals but obviously it ain’t working enough
