Kind of makes sense.... often people cheat on the people they need with the people they want. If you are lucky/smart they are the same person (hence no cheating)

Extends to the workplace as well; everyone knows somebody who moves up based more on their interpersonal skills than work skills. I think that can be too extreme and backfire if you try to leave the company, but a lot of times it's not enough just to be good at your job.

Thoughts?

I agree with the quote.

A person wanting you is at their own will imo.

Needing is like giving in knowing its what's best but not something they really wanna do.

It breeds resentment. When someone is in a relationship out of need they feel trapped. I don't know anyone in such a relationship who is happy. When two people who can stand on their own come together the whole is always greater than the sum of the parts.

But sometimes need isn't anything materialistic or monetary.

You might have needed someone loyal but you chasing a cheater.

You might have needed someone who's good with finances but you want the one who wasn't.

You may have needed that family person instead of the individual who would rather not have one or be bother.

Need comes in different forms.

it depends on what kind of "need".

"Need" as in desperate?

or "need" as in "I can't live without youuuuuu"
