a lack of creditable opponents. I'm use john cena for example. When cena won the wwe championship and was moved to raw, the company was stacked. Cena had creditable opponents that were over to face. He had:

Y2j
HBK
HHH
Edge was on the rise
RVD
A young Kane
Lashley was built up as a threat
Khali when he was took serious
Umaga
Cm punk
Randy orton
Batista
Rey mysterio
Kurt Angle
DBry
Did he ever take on Jeff hardy?
You can throw in Ryback&Nexus to... I think... big show to..

How can you build stars when your lacking creditable stars. How can you Have a drawing champion when you no creditable opponents

Who has roman beat other than Bryan and maby orton

who has Seth beaten other than sting?

Who has bray beat other than bryan?

Who has Armbrose beat?

Everybody else is damage goods. Except Del rio probably.

Roman has to beat Cena, lesnar, the rock, Rko,bryan and HHH
to make him legit.

He went over Jeff in a NOTHING match on Raw..they made nothing of it and didn't built it up even though Jeff came back RED HOT as a super over face and rarely lost.

Roman went over Punk a few times before he left out.....went over Blandy at Summerslam....beat Bryan clean at Fast Lane(which effects his crowd reactions to this very day since they TOLD you he was better than the guy they loved on a Austin level)...finally beat Bray Wyatt a few times...has OWNED Sheamus in every match...finally beat Ambrose one on one at Survivor Series...OWNS the Big Show...went over Seth a few times for the hell of it that led to nowhere....

Roman was on a decent path. The end of last year, they gave him that Superstar of the Year award where they said fans voted for him over Bryan and Ambrose. No one believed it. That coupled with the fact that Bryan got eliminated early at Rumble to make Reigns look like the favorite has been the BIGGEST deterrent in his career so far.

Roman, green though he was in terms of matches, was actually over for a while. Then they started over scripting his promos, making him talk too much, and putting him in feuds/matches with wrestlers that didn't mesh, exposing some of his frailties in the ring. In their desire to market him as the next John Cena, they've done him a disservice. If they left him to continue his organic rise as a popular face, they wouldn't have the problems they have now.

It's all too easy to blame "smark neckbeard Bryan fans" for messing up his push, but the fans saw through the bullshyt attempt to rush his rise - particularly when wrestlers that the fans have already warmed to - like Bryan - had to wait ages before his own fans forced his rise :russ:. Ironically, they are trying to take Roman through the Bryan route to get over, to try to make him an underdog, when the truth is he is not an underdog and never has been. Are they going to go from trying to make him the next Cena to being more like Bryan? That's just as bad an idea. He needs to be Roman Reigns - a silent badass, comes through the crowd, doesn't talk much, powerhouses his way through opponents and has great matches. He has improved a lot, and his matches are better, so it's definitely set up for him to do well.

There are other people there who are potentially big stars. There's money in Finn Balor, Owens could be a great heel champion etc. Reigns is probably gonna be the guy though, but not if they continue handling him the way they have.

He was built as a powerhouse..they don't even use those terms anymore. They had him sobbing at the end of the Royal Rumble. This dude is getting screwed over. A heel turn back after the Royal Rumble could of SAVED IT ALL. This is crazy as fukk:laugh:

It's not about the roster, it's about the lack of storylines so we never get a chance to bond to the gimmick.

EXAMPLE: Bray is a hundred times a better talent than KANE, but he was put in storylines to look like a fukkin monster, so that ppl would call him a "CREDIBLE OPPONENT FOR CENA" 10 years down the line.

They've had plenty of opportunities to make new stars, but the wwe tends to have wrestlers go from hot to cold with the bookings and they nitpick at certain wrestlers instead letting things play out organically.

The miz
Cm punk
Cesaro
Bryan
ryback
R-truth
Barrett
Dolph
Reigns
Owens
Ambrose
Bray
Rusev

All of these guys either had the crowd on their side( being over as a face or heel) or were in involved in the main storyline at some point in time.
