Its got to be said 'Future' should not be this successful based on his talent.

Just in watching that Kendrick and Jay Rock video.. Future is incredibly out of place but surely it's been known.

Let's post some facts:

He is has no good albums that stand next to anything that would be even 3.5 mic worthy in a source magazine review.

Any big singles or standouts on albums and mixtapes are production related.

He has no charisma when interviewed.

He never says anything remotely lyrical.

75% of his lyrics are recycled. He is like Mike Jones with a vocoder.
It's all drug related too.. not a good look.

Speaking of vocoders he cashed in on a trend and we know T Pain is far more of an artist.

As a dungeon family fan the affiliation and relation is out of place. He isn't as good as any of their artists. He would be the 'wish bone' if the DF had a group.. or maybe the record bag holder for the DJ right. Think about Andre, Big Boi, Cee Lo, Gipp, Witchdoctor, Killer Mike.. see what I mean.


Anyway just my thoughts... as a hip hop purist,

Future doesn't make music for the sake of maintaining the purity of HIP HOP

his intent is to make HITS...simple
. catchy hook based club bangers...

And he has accomplished that..

And that's why he is SUCCESSFUL..

He has pleased his fanbase......

You obviously not part of that

So why are u tripping about music that isn't marketed towards you?!?

Women are a big consumer of rap ad Future taps into them heavy. And we all know, what women like...the fellas soon follow.

Future keeps it simple with banging beats, simple hooks for women to sing a long to in the club and in their car.

He's more business savvy than talented in music imo but he still deserves where he is at.

Because he dominates his genre which is trap music. With trap music you do not have to be super lyrical. Just have to be catchy and get the club jumping. He turns the crowd up. He also has some R&B hits too. Truth is, I wasn't a fan of trap music until I started listening to future.
