Parents be expecting you to pick up where they may slack off in regards to your younger siblings. Your younger siblings expecting you to be a buffer between them and your parents. And you can't let them down because they are your babies no matter how old they get. They ain't have to go through what us oldest siblings had to go through. We the trial and error kids. We had to learn to be durable real quick. So it's natural that sometimes you see your babies as dumb asses who probably wouldn't know how to tie their shoes if you didn't show them.......because it's true. You get labeled as bossy but your parents put you in that position. You get called overbearing but you've been conditioned to be overprotective.

It sure is. Also tough being the only boy and even tougher when your sisters become teenagers. I'm on high alert every time we all go out together.

Also, I definitely wouldn't get away with all those side glances and smart-ass remarks my sisters occasionally give my dad.

My big sister is like 7 years older than me and it seems like she helped raise us. She helped cook for us. She watched us outside. She put me on to classic hip hop. She really helped mold me into the man I am looking back. She even handed out a punishment one time and grounded me for two weeks in hs and my parents let it ride. She deserves her flowers
:wow:

All relative. You could have been a middle child.
