It's hilarious how Co-Workers always try to size you up

Asking you extra personal questions so they can see if they have a better life than you

I remember one time at a prior job this middle aged woman at work talked about how her son is a Aerospace Engineer, and her son's father is in Aerospace and in charge of some Aeronautics program and "No Airplane goes in the sky without his say so"

Then said NOTHING about her :mjlol::mjlol::mjlol:

Don't know what it is, but when it comes to a work environment, it's like high school all over again :dead:

i do not share personal info with my coworkers outside of 2 of them who i consider to be friends outside of work.

they know i'm engaged but that's about it.

meanwhile i know way too many details about my coworkers relationships/marriages/extended family :shaq2:

Same they know I have kids and a girl but that’s it. I literally just like them talk….and they keep going and going. And then they love me.

shyt have served me well in my career. Muthafukkas love any reason to “brag”.

The one thing that fukks them up tho is when they ask me how old I am (early 30s) or they make some old ass reference and I say “my parents told me about that or that was before my time”.

That shyt burns their soul slow. :russ:

White people are nosey especially when it comes to the lives of black people. And trust and believe they take whatever you tell them and store it with plans to use it against you if they’re in some shyt.

But you can’t be too aloof and private or they say you aren’t a team player.

Gotta thread the needle and always have black friends/family outside of work that can hold you down.

:unimpressed:

Only way it counts as an official "size up" is if your co-workers look at you like this

^ that but in the work place lmao

the art of making your coworkers feel like you've told them something when you've actually told them nothing is something I think I've mastered.

and as someone above said a lot of them just want to trauma dump their personal life/personal problems on you and if you just nod along and pretend to care they'll think you're a great person/listener :mjlol: it's a lot better working form home at least, i don't have to look at them and pretend to care when they're telling me shyt anymore. just gotta reply to the teams message and act concerned/sympathetic

This man gets it! He's on his Belichick steeze during his 9-5!

Cac co-worker #1: Hey Paper Boi! How was your weekend?

Paper Boi: We only move forward. We don't dwell on the last one. :beli:

Cac co-worker #2: Hey Paper Boi! How did that expense report turn out?

Paper Boi: We're on to The Goodyear file :beli:

Cac co-worker #3: Hey Paper Boi! I'm having a problem exporting this file to Excel, you mind giving me a hand?

Paper Boi: We're on to lunch :beli:

Cac co-worker #4: Hey Paper Boi! Jenny just attended her senior prom on Friday. Man, they grow up so fast! Wanna see some pictures from the night?

Paper Boi: :beli:

Cac co-worker #5: Hey Paper Boi! Have you noticed Tracy takes off work like every other Tuesday?

Paper Boi: I don't do the injury report. We have doctors for that :beli:

Cac co-worker #6: Hey Paper Boi! Was wondering if you wanted to grab a drink after work? My guy came through and hooked me up with some killer ganja man!

Paper Boi: Lawrence Taylor is the best one I ever worked with. :beli:

Cac co-worker #7:Hey Paper Boi! Have a great night bud!

Paper Boi: We're on to home. :beli:

I'm on the same damn wave my guy! :salute:

100% facts. I'm a master at it lol

I'll tell them an absolutely useless fact about me, and a coworker will think I opened up :skip:
