They have been surprisingly coy, especially considering journalists at least got to see the tear down of the XSX as early as 6-7 months ago.

Sony has never been the most transparent or open organization. That said, given what is going on with the backwards compatibility and various outlets testing it, do you think they want to invite that comparison? The specs are set in stone. The capabilities are set in stone. Whatever third parties are doing on the XSX, at best it is parity on the ps5 or worse. Might as well wait till after launch for that first Digital Foundry comparison because it will likely be a shytshow of epic proportion.

If I had to guess, combo of Rona fukking up the timeline, product scarcity, and waiting for games to go gold.

Ultimately, there's not much of anything for either console to show off what they can do with actual next gen games, so other than the novelty of just having it, there's not really a whole lot for people to evaluate.
