It wasn’t necessarily an illegal screen; it was more so stupid coaching/defense by the Lakers.
You know the ball is going to Steph Curry so there’s no reason to have anyone guarding the inbounder. Christie pointing and switching for no reason instead of trailing Steph on the hip and therefore making Draymond screen him instead of the switch man would’ve worked.
LeBron protecting the basket instead of being ready to switch out on Steph (per usual) is another reason why he was wide open.

Draymond did a veteran move to disguise the screen. First he acted as if he’s trying to run through, then on the actual screen, it sold it as if the defender initiated the contact by putting his hands up.
