Too many words I need a summary
Too often, when a black person starts a business or focuses on a creative pursuit, they’re less likely to receive support from other black people they are non-blacks. I’m strictly speaking about ADOS, btw. West Indians and Africans support their own.

I love my black people. Man I called this black owned restaurant On my way to work. The food looked great.I get there they say the kitchen closed. I’m like da fukk. The owner was like I can make u something quick. I was like I don’t got time. In my history of ordering food. That has never happened to me.

I said all that to say this. It’s ok to be honest about a black owned businesses. just support the ones that deserve it

doesnt matter....

if youre serious none of that will stop you
This.
Like bro it's like me in my music do you know how many times I've lamented this and that and have still kept going that's cause I'm just passionate about it.

I understand what @I Really Mean It is saying but I don't see that these days. I see more support towards Black creators and producers from Black people. And others.

If what you doing is good...people will gravitate to it regardless.

In ATL, there are cliques but when you dive into your craft and support other people, they show out. A lot of creatives, not just black creatives, complain about in-group support, but

  • They DO NOT support anybody, and expect support from other black people. You might get a try from me, but you will not get continued support.
  • Their craft ain't good and they show no effort to actually improve
  • Their craft is very niche, and pulling towards people outside of their group.
