I've met Indian folk from India that tell you that they purposefully avoid street food for these very same reasons.
You can get everything on the street, in a more sanitary/sane setting for a bit more (Street food is cheap unless you get scammed) to the point people with the means to buy a cup of coffee shouldn't be worried about this shyt at all.​
