It's still Marvin's Room: 2017 Cincinnati Bengals off-season thread

For my fellow bengals heads, Coach Lewis said he ain't going nowhere. With that being said, where do we retool for '17?

I think our needs in FA/Draft are below:

• Another tight end. Eifert has only played 37 out of 64 games. We can no longer depend on him to stay healthy enough.
• Defensive line. Peko is old, we need some new-blood that can learn from and go to war with Atkins while he's still in his prime. Might be time to draft and sign Johnson's replacement also.
• Linebacker. As someone else suggested on here recently, move Burfict inside and get another weakside guy, or get another mlb to replace Maualuga.
• Running back. I'm good with Gio (hope he looks like his old self when returning to injury) and Burkhead. I'm not so sure about Hill though , his ypc has been anemic the past few seasons.
• Offensive line. We can't let Dalton get sacked as many times as this year, thank goodness he didn't get injured.

With Green back, I like our receiver core with him, Lafell, Core, and Boyd. I really don't want us to get another CB in the early rounds, unless they're an immediate gamechanger on some Marcus Peters ish.

I want Derek Barnett in the first round. We will have to use a pick on a lb. I think Vigil can be a force though.

Sure wish we would sign Burkhead back and give him a legit shot in our backfield.


We have to stop it with the fukking blind loyalty.

Depending on how the draft goes we go either that DE out of Tennessee of that MLB foster out of Alabama going to check the championship game and see how he does I'm leaning more towards defensive line peko is done IMO Jackson the III will be healthy this year

Our offensive lineman need to earn their keep this year

Yeah I'm impressed with Burkhead. He goes hard every play. I'm not expecting him to be our workhorse, but provides us with solid depth at RB.

Barnett. We have to take him if he's available at 9. Winning might have fukked us though because that put Carolina at 8 and i think they will take him.

I want Peko and Maualuga off the fukking team. I'm done seeing both of them. Shawn Williams was a trainwreck this year as well. I dunno how I feel about him in the future. Hill can honestly gtfo. Gio is unreliable health wise. I'd draft a couple RBs in the late rounds and hope to grab someone with great vision. Hill doesn't know an open hole from his own a$$hole.

Peko and Witworth's time have come.

With that said we need to invest in our D-Line and O-line high in the draft. I think we should save skill players (RB/DB) that we can mold for the later rounds and have the O-line be top priority. That offensive line was atrocious this year

Also really bad this year: halftime adjustments. Our halftime adjustments were nonexistent this year, shouldve beat the Steelers a couple weeks ago and honestly shouldve swept the Ravens. Then we probably would have been the wild card spot

Oh I almost forgot, we need a kicker, desperately

Welp at least this is the last season of Marvin smdh. And Pacman is gone so it's onwards to the future.


The NFL draft is way too far out for me to be able to even guess who we should pick...I would like to see Taze move inside...More importantly can we consider bringing in a better offensive coordinator seems like Guenther is entrenched in his role however I'd really like for Marvin to be fired and Vance Joseph to take over.

I got you bruh, good point earlier about the need for a kicker. For such a basic position, our kickers were awful.
