It's taken me a while to realize it but Young Jeezy is a great emcee.

That cat can write!

No, he's not a lyrical lyricist like Nas but he still knows how to a great song and put together great albums. And yes, I did once say that Hip Hop albums were irrelevant and no classic Hip Hop albums dropped in the 2000's but Jeezy is one of the few who can actually put together an album, great ones at that. I know Thug Motivation 101 is generally considered a classic and I agree with that but I also enjoy The Inspiration almost just as much. The Recession is just as much of a classic as is Thug Motivation. Jeezy stepped up his game even more with The Recession in my opinion.

I didn't really get into Jeezy's music back in 05' when a lot of my crew was thinking dude was the best in the game but I've come to realize just how great he really is. He's one of the few, the very few ("new") emcees in the game now who can actually put together an album. Making albums is a lost art in Hip Hop these days because singles are what run the game now. But Jeezy's albums from Thug Motivation 101 to The Recession are among some of the best Hip Hop albums to have come out in the last 10 years.

Like I said, it's taken me more than a minute to adjust to his style but Jeezy is really a great emcee:

I agree with TS ..wasn't checkin for him in '05 but he is pretty good he can stand in there with some of hip hop's greatest..like the EPMDs and Redmans Slick Rick ya know those middle class rappers. I think he could mos def knock a bunch of cats out they slots...No Matter What a East Coast hip hop fan would have to say
