Any recommendations? I'm just getting sick of my current router's wireless signal disconnecting temporarily when I'm downloading large files at fast rates. I just purchased an upgraded cable modem, finally got the DOCSIS 3.0 joint. Any router tips would be greatly appreciated.

B-b-but it's over a 100 dollars...

So what...don't play yourself and be like all these other cats out here wondering why their wireless network is trash and they don't even have dual band routers...

Turn on the microwave while your girl is using the cordless phone to call her side nikka while the dude who lives above you is setting up wireless speakers, but you can't figure out why your internet connection drops over your wireless network brehs

Asus ac2400 rt-ac87u super fast speed, great protection, and the range on this thing is beast. It's expensive but well worth it.
that price though :whoo:

How large of a place?
How many people will be using it?
What will you be doing primarily?

Range it needs to cover isn't really that big. My whole townhouse is about 2200sq feet but the major areas that I'll be in when using the wireless are within 50 feet of where it'll be set up. Almost always just one person using it but will be connected to multiple devices (HTPC, PS3s, XBox 360, Wii U, phone, laptop, etc.). It'll be used most for internet, downloading torrents often, gaming and streaming video services.

Any dual band would be adequate for you
All these near $200 routers being listed are overkill
