He's teaching him the basics and fundamentals over a weeks span and giving them his vast knowledge. He can't make Amare/Dwight/whoever practice these moves until they can be done naturally without thinking or force them to do them in a real game.

Bron implemented a lot of what Hakeem taught him. The One Dribble into the paint, the Shimmy etc.

Amar'e even got better, bum is always injured though.
