sounded like an attempt at another candy shop tbh
A lot of people said this but I never heard it. Candy Shop is kinda hard (pause), lol, it sounds kinda like a sped up “Lean Back” to me. Amusement Park is just weak and boring

It was, not sure how anyone can deny it. 50 was done creatively by that album. The beats were bland, the hooks were tired, and the raps were comical. He Ja'd himself when you think about it. Too many attempts at pop crossovers until he just looked like a clown. That album had four singles before the album dropped, three of which were weak pop radio attempts.

By the time I Get Money came out it felt like 50 was desperate. His stans were on the verge of tears. That's why by the time Ayo Technology came out there was a renewed level of confidence and cockiness from them. They thought their mans was back on track, he was still the biggest rapper and the album would dominate. And then he got sonned by Kanye and that was the end of his chapter.

nikkas waiting in the bushes for the chance to pop out and re-write history years later. shyt was trash and it was the end of 50's career.
Yeah shyt was garbage, 50 was at the end of his run and the only reason album had any juice was the manufactured beef/competition with Kanye.

Ayo Technology was a Futuresex/Lovesounds throwaway track. Amusement Park was a worse Candy Shop, I'll Still Kill was a generic Akon feature track with Akon also at the end of his run, couple of mid Dre beats and I don't even remember the Eminem track. Saving grace was I Get Money which blew up out of nowhere.

I remember the promo run up he had with Kanye, interviewer asked both of them what they thought was the best track on each others album and Kayne named a track that 50 left off of Curtis :mjlol: I can't remember the name of the track but Kayne was right.

I remember when he dropped this video and nikkas was like GRODT 50 back:gladbron:

If he really took his time with his projects he could've had more great albums

out of 17 tracks that are there (excluding intro), these are good tracks.

but percentage wise thats just 60% or 6/10, and some of these aren't 10/10 so if we went song by song...

album does get a lot of hate though.
Don’t forget fully loaded clip that’s a 10/10 the whole concept beat flow everything

50 Collaborated with Justin Timberlake when Eminem was still beefing with him. I found that odd.

"Curtis" was when reality was setting in on Fif. After the G-Unot campaign and the "One BLood" Remix being the biggest remix of the last 20 years, Fif was quickly losing allies outside of the G Unit camp. He was beefing with 95% of the south, beefing with all the NY crews, having Banks and Buck's sophomore efforts flop, and Olivia being a tax write-off, he had no choice but to compete against Kanye as a measuring stick to see people were still on the NY street shyt in the late 00s.

Curtis dropped 6 singles and only made it to #2 on the billboard charts. That was when major labels were DONE with street shyt and moved on to the Drakes, Kid Cudis and so on.
