The nicole “whatever her last name is” song being a single fukked him. He should have removed that song. Straight to Bank was goofy as hell. No one vibe to that in the club. He really should have moved away from gangster music. For the hits he has, 50 has a hard time making “strip club bangers” or music with some bop to it. The game was transitioning there and he can’t do it.

A lot of folks will say that The Massacre was trash but it really wasn't. Not all of it worked, but it was still the core 50/Aftermath sound and generated a lot of hits. After Curtis, 50 lost that credibility with the average listener. He couldn't scale his music to the popularity he was trying to sustain. He should've never went on a media campaign against Kanye and "soft" rap. That was a new interesting thing emerging and he tried to fight the wave, which never works.

i understand yall are 50 hardcore stans but that album was hot trash and im saying this as someone who was probably the biggest 50 fan at the time. ESPECIALLY when you compare it to graduation.

amusement park is self explanatory
straight to the bank was fukking horrible
ayo technology the same
i get money was a smash hit and deserved the love it got
i still kill was one of the few good cuts on the album

there isnt a single song on the album outside of i get money & man down that i would put in 50s top 25 songs meanwhile GRODT and Massacre are filled with those. maybe fully loaded clip too? but even that is reaching.

that album is a big part of the reason why he fell off in the US.

that wasn't a single and that was a favor for Jimmy Iovine, he was trying to blow her up as a solo artist

it was supposed to be a single though
