It's to a point where Alvarez and them go out their way to hate on WWE

Meltzer is not really in this group, but I mean alverez and Semperveve, the LAW guys, any of the whatculture dorks, it's like they hate everything and if a match isn't absolutely flawless it sucks ass. If the winner THEY WANT to win doesn't win clean it sucks ass. If they don't get a payoff when they want (if it's too early or too late) it's -***** .

How could you watch the show last night and A. Not understand the logic behind every result and direction they're going, B. Complain about simple errors that don't take away from enjoyment, C. Overcomplain about the crowd and you deserve chants to Naomi (suddenly you don't like those huh) and D. Just say the show sucked. They literally used everyone on the entire roster in a way that didn't seem forced and went to the next PPV and sdlive

Listen to this shyt if you haven't and can stand the ads

The whole time I'm like did I watch the same show? I was stone cold sober...

To be transparent my real point is this: this is what the IWC and tsc does a lot now. Tastemakers like those listed above make it seem like you're supposed to think the Miz sucks, or Strowman is terrible, or the 205 guys are being held down, or just generally things that "viewer" doesn't form as an opinion...

Meltzer unfortunately gets bound together with the true voices of the IWC because he is the biggest name (and at the beginning, gave Alvarez a platform), when in reality, he is nothing like them. Meltzer watches wrestling to be entertained, and tries to explain why he was or wasn’t (but struggles with that when speaking instead of writing, and thus gets quoted saying some out there things he later backtracks when he puts his thoughts together). Alvarez literally watches to complain. He is the pied-piper of internet wrestling snark, and in essence created this industry.

He is a know-nothing shock-jock who got his start by being the stereotypical, crass, takes guy to Meltz’ straight man on early internet radio shows in the early 00’s, and has never evolved past that. No one seriously considers Skip Bayless’ sports opinions, but Alvarez has been the same type of figure for almost two decades now and people on either side of arguments trot out his thoughts to make points. It’s ridiculous.

He has no contacts anywhere, he breaks no stories, he can’t even provide funny ancedotes, and he doesn’t even have an extensive knowledge of wrestling history compared to any normal big wrestling fan that’s watched all the standard classics from the world over.

In short, Alvarez is trash, everyone stop bringing him up. He offers literally nothing.
What would have made it better.
A deeper roster. Having six of their singles wrestlers in one match highlighted how alarmingly shallow the SD roster is. The show was aight, far from garbage, but it's impossible for them to have a compelling show top to bottom when they have around 10 or so singles wrestlers, and six of them are in one match.

So that leaves someone like Harper who is undercooked right now in terms of build, being trot out there to go nearly 20 minutes, with fans who have no familiarity with his deeper arsenal due to how infrequently it's called upon. Same for Naomi, and same for Mickie. On SD you get around this with segments, and the big names on the show working the long matches, but put 6 out of the 8 in one match, and you have to ask people to do things people aren't ready for.

like I said, most of the matches dragged. The tag team match, Orton/Harper, Mickie/Becky was almost 20 freakin mins.

The chamber match and Naomi's win made up for it in the end, but i'd likely never watch the show again.

You didn't enjoy Orton Harper? Interesting.

The tag match kind of did, the rotations could've been faster but I liked the direction Ascension is going and the Usos getting even tougher is of course a good thing.

I thought Nikki Natalya is getting unfair hate, that match was good and there is mania money or at least more SD money to make so I didn't hate on the finish. It made Nikki look tougher actually.

And to expand, the cruiserweights are being misused. They never should have been on RAW. There’s time for them on SD and on SD’s PPV’s that they could be used for, instead of showing up for 6-8 minutes every Monday and getting out of there. And of course 205 is filmed alongside SD, which opens up all sorts of possibility for crossover, it’s such an obvious and glaring mistake, one that they just refuse to amend out of stubbornness.

Breh it's not that serious the PPV was pretty average. The Elimination Chamber match and women's title were the matches that stood out. To be truthful they could of combined the two other women's matches and got the same point across. I like American Alpha but there stuff is pretty filler. Point blank SD and Raw should have combined B level shows or have 2hr specials because alot of matches come across as filler at this point.

I agree & I'd argue the same with calling Smackdown the "superior" show. I don't think Smackdown is any better than RAW :manny:

I never listen to WOR if Dave isn't on.

I didn't like the Chamber match though. New rules were trash. Can only pin inside the ring? :dahell: how many times did someone hit a finisher, and the dude that took it immediately rolls out of the ring? shyt was mad corny

It is slightly better written but its definitely not superior because of wrestling....i will say the way braun has been built eclipses the way corbin has been pushed at the same time. I feel like smackdown has more main event variety...but none of these are the things the alvarezes of the world would mention. It would be about "STROW MAN" taking up too much time and making sami zayn "look like a geek".
