I'm completely blown away by this pod. Incredible job on telling the story of special moment in time. Even as someone who lived through the era, I wasn't aware of how or why things shifted. I appreciate hearing about the ride from start to finish.

Also, it's crazy to me that Eskay isn't where DJ Akademiks is right now. Nahright created and defined an entire era.......he could have easily hosted "Everyday Struggle" on Complex or had a podcast or show on Complex, Apple or Spotify. It's like Eskay was just too cool and didn't have a vision for what he could have done with all his influence.

This was a big take away I had. Understandable why breh was disgruntled. I didn’t realize focus was so big for him either. Tho I always liked more than pump it up personally. Never even knew there was a JLO version. He deserves flowers bc was ahead of the curve on a lot of things.

great summery here, I think partially he was anti social and really didnt want to do the face to face clouty shyt at all. its hard to always see what could be.
