Bros preferably 30+ years old(or who are more successful than their peers), what advice do you have for the younger bruhs in there teens/early twenties.

What would you have done different in your earlier years if you could have went back.

:blessed:Give us the knowledge!

:win::win:

A lot of young black males don't really have role models in their lives, so share some of the things you've picked up over the years that could lead to having a more successful life.

Become cool with a certified auto mechanic. In most of life you will need/have a car. Never pay retail on parts and labor for repair work...they mark up is crazy.

One more big one is TAKE CARE OF YOUR HEALTH
I guarantee you all of those possessions won't mean a thing if you're in chronic pain or you have some illness from living an unhealthy lifestyle. Get your exercise and eat healthy. LEARN TO COOK. Possibly invest in a high quality steamer, a crock pot, etc., and eat a lot of vegetables. If you look around you, society is pretty much built to get you sick, because the vast majority of foods here are artificial, fried, etc.. Do not leave your health in the hands of McDonalds, Arbys or whatever other fast food options are around your place. They will destroy your health if you get into a routine of eating that trash regularly.

I think another one that's hugely important is to be careful about reading those articles on 'career recommendations' and in following the mainstream opinion. I remember growing up and hearing how mechanics won't make money and how you want to get in college and all that other nonsense. EVERYONE rushed to college which left a huge void in things like mechanics, and now it's those mechanics who are getting paid fairly well while you have a ton of people with degrees who are being vastly underpaid if they can even find a job in their field, and they have a ton of debt on top of that. If you simply follow mainstream opinion instead of learning critical thinking, you won't end up where you want to in most cases.

Oh, one other thing. Keep your expenses as low as possible. Seriously. Don't get in credit card debt. If you in school don't try to stunt with your refund check. If you need a car, buy one cash. The less debt you have, the more freedom you have. Before buying my house, I always kept my monthly bill below $1500/mo. Before I knew it I had enough money to take an entire year off from work, travel, party, fukk fat bytches, drink all day, and sleep until noon.

Greatest fukking year of my life :wow:

how the hell do you take a year off of work

I was a contractor breh. I quit the job on January 3rd 2008 and literally played COD: Modern Warfare 8 hours a day for a year straight :heh:

I gotta strong resume so it's always been pretty easy for me to get jobs. I get about 100+ emails a week from recruiters.

Optimistic But I Got Hands Tho
You are only as good as your circle.

Mediocrity yields more mediocrity.

Keep your mind sharp. Do brain exercises.

Always be open to learning.

Learn how to make a plan and see it through.
