I thought both discs were wack. Its hard not to compare them though, they dropped back to back and were by two artists whose last projects were a collaboration album together

This would be like if Drake and Wayne dropped solos the same week after a YMCMB drop, and u were like 'w-w-why are people comparing the two discs'

This is hardly the same comparison. In fact something similar did happen w/ YMCMB. Wayne dropped IANAHB Pt. 1 in 2009 along with that first YMCMB compilation. Drake dropped around 6-7 months later. I don't remember if there were any random comparisons to this degree.

How is it hard not compare them? This wasn't a comparison thread. It was about MCHG's replay value or lack thereof. It had nothing to do with Yeezus. This is no different than when people randomly say Life Is Good >>>>> in a thread that's not comparing the two albums.

Jay and Yeazle are both going for that "NYU art major" market and are really trying to come off as boundary pushers. Both albums were disappointments for a lot of people. The comparisons are fair.

I'm not saying the comparisons aren't fair. I'm saying what does one album have to do with the other. I could see if this thread were comparing both albums, but to randomly say Yeezus >>>>> is something else. It would be the same if someone went in a thread about Yeezus and said the same about MCHG. This thread really had nothing to do with Yeezus. It was about the replay value of MCHG which has no connection to the album.

It would even be feasible if someone made a thread about MCHG being album of the year and someone posted Yeezus >>>>. This thread doesn't have anything to do with whatever album people felt was better.

I personally haven't been listening to it very much either, and Jay's my favorite rapper. I'd been looking forward to it too

I have my few favorite joints: Somewhereinamerica, Heaven, Beach Is Better. But otherwise, has about as much replay value as a Charlotte Bobcats highlight tape. I thought it was a lot better than Blueprint 3 at first, and even if it is, it's better in a weird way: Blueprint 3's best songs are better than MCHG's best songs, but I think that MCHG is more balanced because it has less songs that I hate ...MCHG is a four-star album on paper but a 3.5-star album in replay value
