Not to jinx, but my friend's parents always take separate flights when they travel just in case the unspeakable happens.

In regard to the op, flying is meh. It gets tiresome, especially if you aren't TSA pre-check and/or you're not on a direct flight. It's really nothing special.

Idk how many times I've been on a plane and wished someone had already invented a teleportation device (despite the fact that I wouldn't be able to afford it anyway).

I've learned the hard way about layovers.... I will only do direct from now on.... call me spoiled if you have to...lol...
