You probably gotta put in time rewriting your resume and cover letter to figure out where you're going wrong in the application process. It will also give you some time to come up with a convincing story about your unemployment gap. Do you have any good references and letters of recommendation?

I was in a similar spot and took a part-time overnight to pay bills and interview during the day. Got a job a couple months later. Do what you gotta, you not in a position to be picky right now.

Why would you have to Julez about being laid off? Is the Law field filled with that many idiots who dont see the huge number of layoffs impacting white collar workers where being laid off is some shocker?

Ppl don’t care
They always assume if you got laid off you were sub par and everyone thinks they deserve stellar employees
